The engineered component

A structure that stays open for gas discharge.

Polyester weft threads wrap around nylon or polypropylene warp lines to form a perforated knitted tube. During gas discharge, the woven structure contracts under hot gas and hardens, helping keep the air outlet open.

Plant-floor implementation

Place the hose in the target gas-outlet area during core preparation. Keep an end exposed to air to establish the evacuation route.

    Cut to length

    Cut the desired amount—typically 1 to 2 meters—from the continuous hose with scissors.

  2. Positioning the core hose inside a core02

    Place in the core

    Position the hose before core making in the form and orientation your geometry requires.

    Keep the outlet open

    Leave one or both ends in contact with air so gas can escape, then continue the normal process.

Cut the required length, position it inside the core before core making, and keep one or both ends in contact with air so gases have an exit path. Your normal process then continues.

Which standard diameters are available?+

The documented standard range is 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 15, and 20 mm. Different diameters and lengths can be discussed for your application.

Can it be used in shaped cores?+

Yes. Its flexible tubular structure is designed for round and shaped cores, including applications such as engine blocks and pump castings.

Is the core hose reusable?+

No. The Core Gas Discharge Hose is a disposable process component.
